Professional
Photographers - You are directed to this page so you won't have to spend time looking through the other pages, example photos and descriptions of how the Flash Wizard® Software is used. I'm a Professional Engineer registered in 9 states, was a member of PPA 15 years and a member of the Illuminating Engineering Society of North America since 1990, and I recognize that the professionals' available time for reviewing time-saving tools is limited. So, I'll get right to the point. Since the advantages of Flash Wizard® are immediately obvious, I will point out a few negative points to save you the time of digging them out yourself. |

If you have been a professional photographer for quite some time, here are some reasons why you probably don't need Flash Wizard®: You probably have already established a set routine for each type of client that you work with. (There's nothing wrong with routines - they can help reduce mistakes.) And you may already know, more or less, exactly where you want your lights positioned for every type of photo that you normally shoot - head shots, busts, full figure, etc. You could even be reluctant to try new things for variety and creativity. You most likely aren't interested in setups requiring multiple light-ratios because you found it too time consuming to be profitable. Before the invention of Studio Flash Wizard® it requires constantly moving the lights back and forth as you take repeated exposure meter readings, and referencing light-ratio tables. And, that's just for the Main-light and Fill-light - then you have to repeat all that for up to four accent lights. And, you probably avoid using filters having an Exposure Factor greater than 1X, on your lights. If you did use such filters, then the lights would not be balanced (equal) and you would have to start with the flash, flash, flash meter again. It would be too time consuming. So, you've learned to do without the fancy light-ratios, and may be reluctant to try Flash Wizard even though it is incredibly easy. |

So, you probably wouldn't like the versatility and speed that Studio Flash Wizard® offers creative photographers: You would feel bad about the money you spent for a flash meter that you don't even need anymore. You would be presented with so many choices and so many design possibilities at your finger tips (literally), that you may stray from your safe routine. And, you would be able to change filters on lights, change light-ratios for any pair of lights, and change the angle of the Main-light and both Edge-lights so fast that your clients may wonder why you charge so much for your work.

And, with the power and flexibility of Color Background Flash Wizard® what will you do with all those rolls of seamless background paper that you won't need anymore? You know - the ones that you have been ever so careful not to crease as you roll them up - and down - and up - and down. You won't need them because Color Background Flash Wizard® will allow you to match the background to your clients blouse in one shot and, just a few seconds later, match the background to the bow in her hair in the next shot. That will be possible because you can leave the same roll of black seamless background paper hanging regardless of the predictable color and shade you use for the background in your photo. |
