The methods taught in books about how to set up for specific light-ratios are "rules of thumb" that produce substantial errors.  Studio Flash Wizard® make light-ratios quick, easy and accurate to setup because they are based on the physics of light - not rules of thumb.  Complex lighting designs are just as quick as simple ones!  Photographers will no longer have to sacrifice quality in exchange for speed.  Studio Flash Wizard® software gives the correct flash distance and power setting the first time even if the light-ratio is different on each of five different areas of the subject.

Just enter the following variables into the Palm® Handheld:
ISO
f-stop
FF for any filter on the camera lens
Tele' Magnification
FF for each filter used on each flash
Light-ratio desired for each of 5 flashes

Color Background Flash Wizard® requires only one roll of seamless black paper for any color and shade.  And it only takes a few seconds to know exactly how far from the background to place the background flashes and the flash power setting required to reproduce the exact color and exact shade that is selected.  The User Manual shows how to create Color ImagesTM from which colors and shades are selected.

Sun/fill:
One rule-of-thumb says to add fill-flash to the subject about equal to the sunlit side.  That will produce approximately 2:1 light-ratio but the subject will be over exposed.  Sun/fill Flash Wizard® calculates the flash distance, flash power, and a lens f-stop that won't overexpose the subject - regardless of the sun/shadow light-ratio selected.

 Light Fall-off:
Light Fall-off Flash Wizard® empowers photographers to use light fall-off as a tool.  Light fall-off can be used to paint dramatic photos of product setups by controlling exactly how quickly or gently the light falls off (light ratio).  Light Fall-off Flash Wizard® calculates the exact flash-to-subject distance and power setting to produce the desired results.
